PBC Open House – Part of Connect Week 2017

The Pasadena Bio Collaborative is looking great!
Come tour our recently refurbished facilities, talk to scientists with a wide range of focus and learn more about the region’s largest, longest running life science incubator. Since 2004, the PBC has assisted over 50 companies get started and provided training opportunities to hundreds of students via our partnership with the LA/Orange County Biotech Center, area schools and the Amgen Biotech Experience.
Tours, talks and demonstrations happen throughout the day with light snacks and beverages served in our conference area.
Scheduled Events:
10:30 – 10:50 AM:
PBC will present an overview of how it facilitates the success of new science based start-up businesses.
11:30 – 11:50 AM:
Poseidon Laboratory will talk about their innovative technology for changing protein functionality.
12:00 – 12:20 PM:
Platinum Group Coatings will describe their unique new method to improve the performance of neural stimulation electrodes.
1:00 – 1:20 PM:
Biovinc will present their results on using bisphosphonate linked compounds for the diagnosis and treatment of bone disorders.
Ongoing throughout:
Staff from the Amgen Biotech Experience will provide details on their widely used eductional program offered to schools around the world which teaches high school students advanced molecular biology laboratory techniques.
